The first stage in the process for the Neighbourhood Development Plan was to designate the Plan area and for this to be agreed by Wealden District Council. The Plan area was consulted on and the consultation document can be seen here and the consultation information here. The Plan area was subsequently approved by Wealden.
At the same time that the Neighbourhood Development Plan is being produced Wealden District Council are also working on the production of a new Local Plan, they consulted on their Issues, Options and Recommendations document. At the same time they also consulted on proposed changes to Conservation Areas. It is important that the Neighbourhood Development Plan is in conformity with the Wealden Local Plan. Neighbourhood Development Plan Questionnaire
The Neighbourhood Development Plan Questionnaire was sent to all electors in the Parish, 363 responses were received by the closing date, this equated to a response rate of 18.2%. A summary report was taken to the Steering Group on 19 November and is available here.

Last Thursday, 6th May 762 people voted in the Neighbourhood Plan, out of that figure, 626 residents voted in favour of the Plan, which is fantastic news.! It means that future Planning applications will have to abide by the details of the Plan going forward.
