Support Your Community – Donate to the Local Food Bank

Our food bank collection basket is located inside the Hub, just by the main entrance.

Many local families are currently facing food insecurity. Some parents skip meals so their children can eat; older residents on fixed incomes are having to choose between food and essentials; and others continue to feel the effects of the rising cost of living. Your donation can make a real difference.

By giving what you can, you help ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.

Baby Bank & Beyond CIC – Supporting Local Families

Baby Bank & Beyond CIC is a not-for-profit organisation based in Hellingly, supporting local families by providing pre-loved baby and young-child essentials. For over two years, their dedicated team of volunteers has been helping families in need by passing on items such as:

  • Clothing
  • Highchairs
  • Prams and pushchairs
  • Cots and bedding
  • Toys
  • Toiletries

In November, the team delivered their 2,000th bundle, a milestone that highlights both the generosity of our community and the growing demand for support.

Many families are facing difficult circumstances — low income, poor mental health, unemployment, domestic abuse, illness, or seeking asylum. Baby Bank & Beyond helps to ease some of these pressures by ensuring children have the essentials they need.

Not everything can be donated second-hand. Items such as cot and Moses basket mattresses, nappies, toiletries, duvets, pillows and underwear must be new and require funding.

How You Can Help

  • Donate new toiletries and good-quality children’s clothing (ages 0–10)

  • Contribute financially to help purchase essential new items

  • Spread the word to families or organisations who may benefit from their support
