Cemetery and Allotments
The main purpose of this Committee is to oversee the management of both the Cemetery and the Allotments.
The Cemetery and Allotments Committee is made up of six Councillors. The current membership is:
Councillors W Hesselgrave (Chair), J Castle, D Lewin, D Miles, P Milne, D White and A Gander.
In addition, the Allotments Supervisors from both sites (Union Corner and Roebuck Park) and a representative from the Allotment Society also attend meetings.
The Committee is responsible for supervising, and together with Officers administering, the Council’s Cemetery and Allotments. The Committee also makes recommendations to Full Council on fees, charges and regulations for both the Cemetery and the Allotments.
Committee meetings are held on Wednesdays at 7.00 pm at the Community Hub. Agendas are issued one week prior to each meeting and are available on the Council noticeboards and on this page. Minutes will be published on the website as soon as they are available and remain draft until approved at the next meeting.
