Updated All-Day Disabled Bus Passes Now Being Issued

East Sussex County Council has begun issuing updated all-day disabled bus passes using BSIP (Bus Service Improvement Plan) funding.

These new passes are clearly labelled “All day local” and allow unlimited travel within the East Sussex County Council boundaries, all day, every day of the week – removing the usual time restrictions.

A leaflet explaining the new pass has been sent to eligible pass holders. Bus operators have been informed and their ticket machines have already been updated to accept the new passes at all times.

Please note:

• Using a pass outside of accepted times does not record the journey, which affects data and operator reimbursement.

• Temporary delays may occur due to postal issues or address changes, but disruptions are expected to be minimal.

This update aims to make bus travel more accessible and flexible for disabled passengers, supporting access to work, education, and daily activities.
